Associate Depositary

Our client is an alternative in fund and corporate services with dedicated client teams and a focus on alternative strategy asset classes.

Reporting to the Luxembourg Head of Depositary Services, the Depositary Services Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the depositary services business in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will provide operational, financial, governance, and strategic support to the Head of Depositary Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of service are delivered on a daily basis for their respective client portfolios
  • Actively develop relationships with existing clients and their service providers
  • Manage and develop the depositary management team
  • Assist in building depositary service offering in Luxembourg, including proposal drafting, fee and team considerations
  • Assist with budgeting and financial monitoring for the depositary services business
  • Support the internal operational committees and working groups for the depositary business
  • Provide technical support to the depositary management team
  • Act as a higher-level authority for internal and external considerations, including new business risk assessments and formal client communications

Skills, knowledge, and expertise:

  • Proven experience in delivering professional services to a portfolio of clients
  • Experience in operating at client board level
  • Relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ICSA or equivalent
  • Experience in managing all aspects of running a successful business, including operational, financial, and people performance, as well as strategic considerations
  • Experience in contributing to successful business development activity, including drafting proposals and presentations
  • Solid experience in managing manager-level people
  • Sound technical knowledge and a commercial outlook
  • Strong appreciation of the importance of risk, compliance, and regulation
  • Background in private equity and/or real estate funds is desirable
  • Experience in a CSSF-regulated environment is desirable.
