A leading global consultancy are looking for an Assistant Manager in the Governance & Risk Team to work on a variety of engagements covering all financial services industries. This is an exciting opportunity which will provide you with a flexibility of focus from start ups and challenger banks to investment firms.
Engagements will include: s166 reviews, governance and risk management arrangements, corporate governance, compliance and conduct risk reviews and advising on the implementation of SMCR.
You must work effectively in the all areas of the advisory engagement for manager or partner review, including finding issues and providing potential remediation. It is also important to maintain excellent relationships both internally and with clients. Training and development of juniors and participating in firm wide activities
Requirements
- 3+ years of regulatory experience within financial services or preferably consulting
- Bright and articulate, ideally educated to degree level
- Experience in leading projects and delivering reviews focusing on risk management and governance
- Broad understanding of the regulatory environment (FCA and PRA) and understanding of core subject matter areas e.g conduct risk, SMCR, MCOBS
- Ideally 2+ more sector knowledge e.g retail banking and insurance
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits
This role will usually be based in the London office, but working from home at present. There is an excellent degree of flexibility and work life balance.
