Job Description

Established in 1989, Barclay Simpson is a privately-owned Recruitment agency based near Blackfriars station.

Business Support Services (BSS) is the administration function of Barclay Simpson, which provides all the support necessary for our recruitment consultants worldwide. Our team of Administrators manage the daily running of the office in London.

This role is a 9 month maternity cover and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day administrative activities of the team Administrators.  This will include training, monitoring output to ensure high quality is maintained, ensuring tasks are evenly distributed and introducing new initiatives to spread workload and improve efficiency.  Providing & monitoring weekly performance STATS of team. Also recruitment of team members if necessary. Carrying out monthly catch up meetings and holding Quarterly appraisal meetings with each team member.

The role will also involve:

  • Communication Lead between the external IT Support company & Barclay Simpson and back up IT Support for simple IT issues.

  • Office & Facilities Management – Ensuring the ongoing general tidiness and cleanliness of the office/work environment. This includes supplier management and ensuring supplies are ordered in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for the set up of new joiners and leavers to Barclay Simpson. This includes hardware and software set up on-site and liaising with the external IT support company re user set up.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A professional approach to office life and strong communication skills.

  • You will be an experienced administrative Manager with the ability to take on the leadership role. 

  • We are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, enthusiastic and able to take the initiative around the office.
