Internal Audit Market Report 2016

Our 2016 Market Report combines our review of the prevailing conditions in the internal audit recruitment market together with the results of our latest employer survey. We look to analyse and discuss the latest trends in the internal audit recruitment market, the outlook for which remains robust. However, the demands made on internal auditors are increasing and the skills and abilities required continue to rise. If internal auditors are being paid more it is because more is expected of them.

  • 71% of internal audit departments have recruited or attempted to recruit externally in the last 6 months of 2015. (Down from 77% last year)
  • Although 26% of managers consider salary expectations excessive and beyond their budget, 74% consider expectations affordable.
