Interim Market Report 2011

Our expectations for 2011 were guided by the buoyancy of the market throughout 2010. While economic threats were evident, aside from the public sector, prospects for the corporate governance recruitment market were positive. This has proved to the case in the first half of 2011. Despite weak economic growth and squeezed living standards, the pressure on effective corporate governance remains. The recruitment market has an air of normality about it with candidate shortages almost as evident as at any time in the past. Consequently, corporate governance practitioners are in a better bargaining positioning than most other groups in the UK employment market.

As before, we have produced a Corporate Governance Market Report covering the entire market and specialist reports for each component market.

Barclay Simpson’s Interim Market Report 2011 reviews the last 6 months in detail and assesses the prospects for the rest of 2011. There are six specialist reports:

The reports can be read online or downloaded. If you have any problems accessing the reports or would like to discuss any aspect of them, please call 020 7936 2601. We hope you enjoy the reports and would very much appreciate your feedback.
