Enterprise Risk Senior Associate

My client is a Global Investment Company with the mandate to generate sustainable financial returns for its shareholders. The portfolio consists of global industrial leaders across a wide range of sectors including aerospace, ICT, semiconductors, energy, metals and mining, healthcare, and utilities. The company invests in technology, infrastructure, life sciences, and future-oriented companies and is committed to responsible investing and high governance standards.

Role Purpose:

The role provides an opportunity to contribute to building resilience and risk awareness across the portfolio by guiding, implementing or overseeing the analysis and management of risks. This will require research, analysis and consultation with portfolio companies, colleagues, and subject-matter experts, with a focus on a wide range of risk perspectives. The role provides a chance to work with a team of experienced professionals and gain valuable experience, knowledge, and skills in a critical area.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to generate insights on risks and best practices in risk management at portfolio, investment, sector, and thematic levels.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on existing portfolio risks and advise on strategies to enhance risk management and increase portfolio resilience.
  • Provide thought leadership and guide the improvement of portfolio companies’ risk management approach.
  • Act as a risk business partner to support due diligence, investment risk assessments, and value protection and creation plans.
  • Engage and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to raise risk awareness and promote a culture of risk management.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of risk management experience with leading consulting firms or private equity.
  • Extensive experience in conducting business risk assessments across various industries and geographies.
  • Good understanding of financial performance drivers, metrics, and valuation methods.
  • Deep technical knowledge and experience in risk management frameworks design and improvement.
  • Excellent ability to identify risk management improvement opportunities and promote pragmatic advice.
  • Solutions-oriented and collaborative mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Specialist risk management training and relevant certifications.
