Data Privacy Manager

My client, a FTSE 100 company, have the need for a Privacy Manager during a time of growth. This role will support the Head of Data Ethics, Policy & Risk by taking responsibility for data protection compliance and assurance activities in the 1st line Privacy team. This is a key specialist technical role to ensure compliance with GDPR. This role will require you to guide and advise the business in meeting requirements and adhering to relevant law / regulation whilst also empowering the business to innovate safely and exercise entrepreneurial flair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completion of monitoring and assurance activity for data protection compliance requirements
• Informing and advising the company and its staff about their data protection obligations and compliance with other data protection laws
•  Producing management information and reports on the group’s data protection risk, ensuring key headlines, risk metrics, and upcoming regulatory challenges
•  Assisting the DPO with regulatory notifications, including entity registrations and regulatory breach notification
•  Working closely with privacy team on a day to day basis, ensuring compliant operational DP processes

About You: 

• Data Protection / related legal qualification desirable or significant experience demonstrating in-depth knowledge and application of data protection laws and rules.
• Significant experience in completing subject access requests
•  Good working knowledge of privacy risk assessment models and methodologies.
