Head of SOx (Business Process)

Barclay Simpson have been engaged on this opportunity to join a US-listed global software development and IT consultancy business who are expanding their SOx & Internal Controls function with this senior position. This business is highly acquisitive and are continuing to grow rapidly, expanding in to new global markets. This role will require you to work from the central London office 1 day/week on average.

Reporting directly into the Director of Internal Controls & SOx, you will play a key role in owning and improving the business process SOx environment. This will involve owning and developing the RACM, working closely with control owners across the business to guide them through all required remediation actions, develop training for both new and existing control owners, and assisting with the implementation of a new GRC tool. You will also manage an established SOx controls testing team, plan the controls testing programme and review outputs.

You will hold a relevant qualification (e.g. ACA) and have significant SOx controls experience having been through several SOx cycles, either in industry or in Big 4 practice. You must be happy working autonomously in a ‘hands-on’ manner and have excellent communication skills. Prior people management experience is advantageous. You must have full eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

The package on offer is c.£100,000 + £5,000 car allowance + $14,000/year shares + bonus + benefits.
