This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the internal audit and compliance division of one of the leading commercial conglomerates in the Gulf region.  The group has diverse interests including retail, food and beverage, manufacturing and services.  They manage a wide number of leading global brands in the region with activity developing across the Middle East, Europe and Africa.   The Chief Internal Auditor will lead an independent audit division reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of risk management.  The company is intending to publicly list parts of its business in the near future and will require to extend its governance and reporting framework to ensure compliance with regulations, reporting and shareholder expectations.

The CIA will develop and implement a governance risk management framework  for the group which will enable the identification of changing or impending risks and upon which an effective audit plan can be implemented and modified on an ongoing basis.  The division is developing the use of data analytics and automated audit techniques and the audit methodologies are constantly updates to reflect the latest thinking in internal auditing.

To lead and develop this division, candidates will have gained extensive experience in senior audit management of a multinational commercial company with diverse interests.  They will have a proven track record of successfully developing and improving risk and audit initiatives and building a successful teams.  Strong business acumen and the ability to understand diverse business environments is needed.  They would also like experience of Audit Committee reporting and other governance requirements of a listed business. Candidates should be professionally qualified and bi-lingual in English and Arabic.  The role will be rewarded with an excellent tax free package.
