Senior Internal Auditor

This prestigious Investment Manager has a position for someone to focus on Front Office/Investments audits with a longer term plan to either stay in audit or move into the front office.

It is a long-established business, which has been growing both organically and by acquisition in recent years. Recent acquisitions include significant alternative investments such as renewable energy funds. The business growth has promoted expansion within Internal Audit which is also seen as a centre of excellence to feed the business with talented professionals.

The ideal person for this role will have financial services experience within internal or external audit and have an understanding of investments or trading businesses and the risks and key controls.

The role sits in one of the larger teams within Group Audit, working closely with several experienced colleagues who would provide mentorship. Over time this person will be given more and more responsibility and so there is an expectation he or she will progress to Manager reasonably quickly.

I have placed the entire team under the Head of Audit and my last two placements have both moved into the front office. Everyone I have placed in recent years has been promoted at least once.

The work life balance is very good, benefits are also excellent and there is a hybrid working model where there is some flexibility but an expectation that the audit team will be in three days a week. ​There is potential to do some international travel although that is generally optional.
