Data Protection Manager

My client, a prestigious FS organisation are looking for a privacy manager to join their centralised privacy team and help drive improvements. You will –

• Have significant experience as a practising privacy practitioner, evidenced through professional experience, the completion of relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) and external recognition as an expert in the field
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to articulate themselves clearly, both orally and in writing
• Be able to exchange sensitive and complex information using the most appropriate method for their audience and adopting their style where required, including, when needed, delivering tough messages
• Have the personal gravitas to command the confidence of senior colleagues and be able to advise the most senior Committees of the organisation
• Have good judgement and the ability to stay calm under pressure, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Take the lead on work that may have a significant level of complexity, co-ordinating the work of colleagues from other areas of the organisation
• Be able to take an organisational view and encourage team and others to consider wider issues
• The ability to work well within a team structure, including encouraging and supporting the development of other team members
• Be able to talk knowledgeably and engagingly about wider data protection and privacy issues, and help colleagues to understand how these affect the work of the organisation
