Head of Compliance & Data Protection Officer

My client,  a national not-for-profit organisation, are in need of a Head of Compliance & Data Protection Officer. You will develop a compliance charter and compliance policy, drive compliance throughout the organisation and create and deliver a compliance programme ensuring that compliance with existing and future policies is maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an independent privacy and compliance function to identify and evaluate risks across the entire organisation and to coordinate and structure privacy and compliance related controls
• Work closely with all areas of the business to develop and maintain a 1st/2nd/3rd line of defence model
• Champion a culture of compliance throughout the organisation to ensure everyone complies with our external regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
• Take on the position of Data Protection Officer across the organisation and act as the ultimate referral point on all Data Protection and Risk and Compliance matters

 

About you:

• Extensive experience in in GDPR, data management/control and data quality/standards (to role requirements)
• Experience of budget management and control
• Ability to influence decisions at executive management level
• Experience of leading, managing and developing a team, maintain a collaborative and constructive working environment within a department and across the organisation
