Interim Data Protection Officer – 6 Month FTC

  • Up to £120,000

My client,  a national not-for-profit organisation, are in need for an Interim DPO. You will lead the Group Privacy Office and data protection strategy, working with colleagues and stakeholders to continue to implement the data protection programme roadmap, in line with the Business’ Plan and goals for innovation whilst fulfilling the tasks of the DPO as defined by Article 39 of the GDPR and ensuring the importance of data protection is at the core of day to day activities at the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing DPIAs, PIAs and LIAs and maintaining RoPAs
  • Maintaining and updating policies and processes (as appropriate)
  • Drafting reports and metrics
  • Keeping up to date with changes in data protection law and regulations
  • Advising on and investigating potential data protection breaches
  • Advising on Data Subject Requests

 

About you:

  • One or more data protection qualifications such as BCS ISEB, CIPP/E, CIPP/M etc.
  • Previous roles as a Data Protection Officer with demonstrable positive impact
  • Extensive experience of working with large volumes of personal data/data subjects
  • Good influencing, communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong gravitas and ambassadorial skills
  • Experience of leading, managing and developing a high performing team
