The risk recruitment market is in the process of recovering from a low point that two years ago would have been difficult to imagine.
- New vacancies amongst our sample companies rose to 102 in the second half of 2009 up from 56 in the first half.
- At 331 candidate registrations remain high but the proportion of defensive registrations fell from 37% to 19% during the second half of 2009.
- Salary increases are starting to recover and finished 2009 at 9%.
A number of risk management departments are reporting staff shortages and with recruitment freezes being lifted, we expect the number of vacancies to increase as 2010 develops.
