| Penetration Testing jobs – demand strengthens for CHECK Team Leaders and CREST Consultants
As penetration testing is generally outsourced, pen-testing jobs are mainly found within systems integrators, global IT consultancies and boutique information security consultancies. Historically salaries in penetration testing have been good and have risen strongly recently, particularly for Communications-Electronic Security Group (CESG) IT Health Check (CHECK) Team Leaders for which there is always strong demand and a limited supply of qualified candidates. Application penetration testing has become a more sought after skill, as has the need for Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST) Consultants, which we expect to continue as CREST becomes an increasingly widely recognised accreditation in the information security industry.
