London - employer concentration offers IT auditors excellent career options
London offers a unique range of jobs and career options to IT auditors as it is home to leading employers from every industry sector. The major feature is the City of London. Within the City and more recently Canary Wharf, there are over 200 IT audit teams attached to banking or other financial services groups. They provide a vast number of vacancies for IT auditors.
Outside of financial services, London is the audit base for a great number of the UK’s major Plcs together with a number of international groups, central government departments and Big 4, Top 20 and specialist consulting practices. The largest concentrations of these are in Central London or West London. There are a number of audit departments based in North London but comparably few in East and South London.
