Urgent requirement for 3 Network Security Engineers
"I was recommended to Barclay Simpson by the Director of the Hosting Operations Dept as they had previously placed the Security Manager reporting to him. As the Secure Operations Manager, my main responsibility was to support and manage secure customers within a busy data centre. As a result of the high quality of service we offered, the number of customers grew rapidly over a very short period of time, with some multi million pound contracts being won. This immediately demanded extra headcount, however, as those within the IT business will appreciate, the headcount approval process is nearly always last minute. Due to the extremely aggressive timescales, our regular recruitment suppliers were unable to provide appropriate candidates in the IT Security arena with the relevant clearance levels and skills sets, so, in order to meet our service level agreements, I engaged Barclay Simpson.
The immediate requirement was for 3 Network Security Engineers with a minimum of CCNP and a recognised security qualification (CISSP, CISM etc.) to manage a variety of firewalls whilst conforming to strict security standards, who were also prepared to operate on a 24 x 7 shift rota. Having briefed Ruth Jacobs, she responded within a few hours with the first CV and by the end of the week we had 4 interviews arranged for the following week. The CVs she sent exactly met the job specifications and, having conducted the interviews, it was clear that the candidates had been well briefed on the role, the company and the working environment. The interviews went very well and we offered the roles to 3 of the 4 candidates who have all since proved to be valuable members of the team.
